Angelina Jolie was born in Los Angeles, California to Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand in 1975. Her name means "Pretty Little Angel", which seems to fit her true personality more so than the wild child persona she is often associated with.
Angelina didn't realize instant success just because her parents were thespians, but she was noted as having the talent to become a true star from a young age. In her teens, Jolie went into modeling and appeared in a handful of stage productions before making the decision to try her hand on the silver screen. Her moved proved successful making her one of the most in demand and bankable women in the industry as evidenced by her film credits totalling just shy of $3.5 billion dollars.
