Born in San Saba, Texas on September 15, 1946, Tommy Lee Jones embarked on his acting career following his graduation from Harvard in 1969. In his early acting days, he portrayed Dr. Mark Toland on the daytime soap One Life to Live. Prior to playing the good doctor, he made his film debut in Love Story. After moving to Hollywood, Jones landed a role on Charlie's Angels.
Tommy Lee Jones calls his birthplace in Texas home where he owns a 3,000 acre ranch. He has had two previous marriages to Katherine Lardner and Kimberlea Cloughley. Jones and Cloughley have two children, Austin (b. 1982) and Victoria (b. 1991). In 2001, Jones went to the alter for a third time, marrying longtime girlfriend Dawn Laurel.
Tommy Lee Jones has celebrated an extremely long-lived career on the movie screen. Movies like The Fugitive, Coal Minter's Daughter, and JFK have proven that Jones is a well-rounded and powerful actor. He received an Emmy for his performance in The Executioner's Song (1982) and his unforgettable role in the CBS miniseries Lonesome Dove has become classic.
